Trevor Woods

The Northern Ireland landscape has been a major source of inspiration in Trevor's work as a ceramic artist.  Collecting and recording images that inspire from the local undulating landscape of County Down to the rugged coastline that surrounds our beautiful country.

The sources of inspiration that run through all of his work are from his surroundings.  Many of these influences relate to surface textures form, colour from the world him.  Trevor often states that he is 'so lucky to live in such an inspirational place'.

His work includes includes porcelain and stoneware and he uses a broad range of finishes which includes under glazes, oxides, earthenware and stoneware glazes, to create interesting surface detail.

Trevor use various techniques such as throwing and hand-building, to create a range of forms both large and small.
