Kate Whiteman

After spending time at Cambridge School of Art, Kate left to pursue an Advertising degree at Leeds College of Art, which helped shape her distinctive style. Her use of blending materials allows for a contemporary flow between abstract and realism. By combining mediums she creates work that makes a statement and starts a conversation.  ‘The final piece is very important but portraying a journey, emotion or feeling is fundamental in my work, whether it’s through a calming colour palette or a piece that makes you feel empowered. I love to create a vibe within the work itself.’   Kate’s work to date has been wide ranging and well received - her art has been used to promote Manchester College, she has designed cups for a major high street food outlet as well as cocktail menus for established bars and most recently, she created a bespoke flower cloud that hangs in a Michelin star restaurant in Manchester.
