Harry Foy

Harry lives and works in County Down and loves to paint the local scenery of the area as well as Donegal and further afield. He is a self-taught oil painter. His aim is allowing intuition and colour to guide him towards a pleasing composition and design. “Having a focus, meaning and story are crucially important and without these we don’t know when we have arrived,” he said. He enjoys transforming the mundane into a beautiful piece of art and loves the quote by Edgar Whitney “I don’t want it true; instead, I want a beautiful lie!” Harry’s work can be found in collections in Australia, England, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Sweden and the United States.
